Govt to bring back Keralites stranded in other states, registration from Wednesday

Thiruvananthapuram: Giving relief to thousands of Malayalis stranded in other states, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed that action will be taken to bring them to Kerala. Registration for this will begin on Wednesday and NORKA will inform further details regarding this soon, said the CM.

Categories of people who will get priority to return are


  • Those who visited other states for medical care
  • Those who completed treatment
  • Residents of other states who had registered for expert medical care in Kerala
  • Students who completed studies in other states
  • Students who got stuck in other states after educational institutions were closed due to lock down
  • People who need to return after losing their job or retiring from service

When to use medical masks

  • Before putting on a mask, clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
  • Cover mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask.
  • Avoid touching the mask while using it, if you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
  • Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp and do not re-use single-use masks.
  • To remove the mask: remove it from behind (do not touch the front of mask); discard immediately in a closed bin; clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
